Gymnastics and Politics

Ok I thought I would make my first post about politics in the olympics since its on my mind. While watching the olympics I noticed Shawn Johnson (US) had an amazing beam routine. The next girl up was a girl from China (she probably wasn't even 16 knowing that controversy), anyway, the chinese girl scored way higher than Johnson did. Even the telecasters agree Johnson's routine was more original and with less mistakes than the competators. This isn't the first time the Chinese has been favored over another gymnast. I sure hope that the Chinese aren't being favored just because they are holding this years olympics. I mean I pretty much realize the rest of the world hates the US but I thought the Olympics was a time to put aside differences among countries. I think the rest of the world hates seeing the US succeed. I mean look at Phelps he has swept almost everysingle male swimming race. I think the world is only happy when the United States is failing.
