Palin vs Biden: Who is a better parent?
With all of the talk about Palin's parenting, why hasn't anyone questioned Biden's parenting skills?
Biden stated a week or two ago that he traveled on a train every night to be with his family. Well it is great that he wants to be with his family, however, the fact that he wants to go home every night isn't good for America.
Now, obviously the Palin family has its own problems, as does every American family. However, Biden isn't a better father because he travels home every night. The only reason I am even discussing this is because I am tired of liberals saying that Sarah Palin would make a terrible v.p. because of the problems with her daughter. Well the same is held true for Biden. We can't say he is a terrific father because he wants to see his family. Maybe he wants to see his family, so he can abuse them. Obviously, this probably isn't the case of course.
People say Sarah Palin can't help run the country if she can't run her own house hold. However, how can Biden run a country if he has to rush home every night at 5 p.m. to see his family. We can bring back the 3 a.m phone call. How can Biden help deal with a national emergency if he is at home, hours away from Washington?
I am obviously not attacking Biden, because this would a stupid reason for someone not to be v.p. However, if the media is going to claim Palin would be a terrible v.p. because of her family, then we can say the same about Biden and his family. This is why republicans said families are off limits.

Palin's Personal Problems
Just a few days ago, a story was released that the V.P. nominee's daughter, Bristol, is pregnant.
This story really didn't get all the hype the liberals thought it would. Luckily, the story was behind the coverage of the recent hurricane. I personally think this story is no big deal for three reasons.
The first reason is millions of teens get pregnant every year, and this occurrence just proves the fact that Palin's family is more of an American family than any other presidential candidate or their v.p pick.
The second reason this story wasn't a big deal is because it shouldn't have even been covered to begin with. A few weeks ago Obama came out and said that he doesn't want any personal attacks on family members. He supported this idea because of his wife's comments about America. Well, I personally think this story is an attack on Palin's family.
The third reason this story isn't a big deal is because her daughter is going to have the baby and marry the father. If the daughter was to abort the baby this story would be much bigger. If she aborted the baby it would go against Palin's anti-choice campaign. Palin's daughter knows she made a mistake, and she is going to do the right thing in having the baby and marry the father. She couldn't make this choice anymore conservative.
This story should have never surfaced to begin with, it hasn't hurt McCain's or Palin's rating, and it hasn't helped Obama. All this story did was hurt the self-esteem of Palin's daughter. CNN should have never released this story and make such a big deal about it.

McCain chooses running mate
McCain's pick is finally in... Gov. of Alaska Sarah Palin.
This is a perfect pick for McCain. The first two main reasons being: she is very conservative, and she is a women. This pick will hopefully reassure republicans to vote for McCain. Also, she will get a lot of Hillary's voters.
I know your thinking, "she doesn't have any experience in government." However, you are wrong. She has eight years of elected office under her belt. And she is a governor. Governors have a lot more responsibility and experience than senators will ever have. They have to make decisions on their own just like the president, they have to live with the consequences, and they are blamed if things go wrong. Senators, such as Obama, can hide behind everyone else, and blame others for their mistake.
Palin is very down to earth. She is a mother of five, a hockey mom (equivalent to continental America's soccer mom). And even more important she is the governor of the state with the most energy potential. She wants to drill for oil again in Alaska which would defiantly drop the price of gas. She has ended corruptness amongst the Alaskan government. She fought her own party to end corruptness. She beat an incumbent governor of her own party.

Michelle Obama's Speech
Michelle Obama's speech on Monday night was nothing special or unexpected. Of course she felt the need to mention the civil rights movement and her heroes that help make the civil rights movement possible. All in all her speech mine as well have been a civil rights speech glorifying Martin Luther King.
The beginning of her speech was about the values and morals that her and her husband grew up with. Sayings like "your word is your bond" and "dignity and respect". However, her and her husband don't follow these values one hundred percent of the time. First off, not to long ago Michelle said "i finally love this country" well people have been holding her to that saying for many weeks and she gets upset because of it. If only she knew her word was her bond. Her husband didn't show dignity or respect when he accused McCain of owning to many houses. He made up lies about McCain's personal life. This hardly shows dignity or respect.
It's also interesting to point out that when Michelle said Clinton's name the crowd roared harder than they did when Michelle walked out. This isn't surprising with the outrageous number of people who are trying to get Clinton on the ballot.
She also stretched some issues. She mentioned that Barack pushed very hard for equal pay to women. This is something that has been around many years before Barack Hussain Obama came onto the scene. He is in no way a founding father or leader of the equal pay rights for women. I believe that women, during the 20's, should be credited with starting this movement. Michelle also said how Barack is going to make sure everyone can go to college. However, never once during her speech did she mention what colleges her and her husband went to. This is probably because she didn't want to mention how her and her husband went to ivy league schools. So if everyone should go to college, maybe everyone should go to an ivy league school?
Most of Michelle's speech was about Barack as a father and his family. She kept mentioning what a great father he was. Well I've never heard that great fathers make great politicians. I have a hard time believing that a great father would be tangled up in politics, lying, and manipulation. Not to pick apart Barack's family but his mother was a single mother, married twice. She then divorced her second husband. Wow what a great family we have here. So is it safe to say that Barack grew up without a father figure, well this explains why he is such a pansy at making decisions.
This speech was more of a speech for the black culture than it was for America as a whole. Michelle didn't mention anything that would help undecided voters make up their mind. Many of the people in Michelle's speech were people were black and marched for civil rights. This has no relevance to the white population what so ever. She didn't reassure America that her husband is ready to be president.
In conclusion, I feel that Michelle's speech could have been stronger. It was not helpful to Barack's campaign what so ever.

Presidential Season
Monday, August 25, will mark the beginning of the Presidential Convention Season. Friday night Obama selected Joe Biden to be his v.p. This v.p. pick isn't a big surprise.
Joe Biden may be able to Obama. The only thing that Biden can bring to Obama's campaign is the position he holds in the foreign relations commitee. He has been the chairman for a total of 4 years. Hopefully, he will be able to help Obama when it comes to foreign relations, and we all know Obama struggles when it comes to anything outside of America. Biden also brings one more small thing that Obama doesn't have, and that is EXPERIENCE. The supporters of Obama should be disappointed in his selection.
Yes, this may be the best person Obama had to choose from, but Biden doesn't bring much to Obama's campaign. Hillary would have been the best choice, but we all know that wasn't going happen. Biden is a senator of Delaware. What will Obama get out of his position in Delaware? Absolutely nothing. It is already a democratic state with minimum electoral votes.
As a McCain supporter I am happy that Obama choose such a week V.P. , however I feel sorry for the Obama campaign because Biden isn't going to bring as much to the table as Barack thinks he will.

Obama Is Way To Desperate
Obama's campaign has become very desperate. Two instances during the past two days Obama has either lied or manipulated information to make him look good.
First off, on August 20th it surfaced that Obama lied about his views on the induced infant liability act. This act would allow doctors to give medical attention to infants that were suppose to be aborted through the last term cervix operation, but the infants were actually born alive and prematurely. 20% of babies who are aborted during late term abortion are actually still alive. However, these babies will die within a few hours with medical attention. Obama wants to keep these babies from receiving medical attention. Don't doctors have to agree to give anyone medical care who needs it. When asked about this act, Obama said that he never opposed this bill. Well there is proof that he did say this, and by his "nay" vote in Illinois congress proves this.
The second thing Obama is so eager to attack is how many homes the McCain family owns. John McCain owns 7 houses. One of which he bought for his daughter, and two others are used by orphaned kids. Obama owns 2-3 houses himself. One of which he bought off of a friend of his, this friend also turned out to be a convicted felon. I personally think that Obama has his concerns in the wrong place. Instead of accusing McCain for owning to many houses isn't convincing me why I should vote for him. The Obama campaign is failing greatly. Which is what this country could hope for.
